UPCOMING DATES

Just wanted post about a few reminders of the upcoming events to make sure everyone has received the info. First reminder is that pictures are happening this week for the whole program.

Grade 5-6 pictures are Tuesday night (the 15th) at the beginning of practice. Your coach/team mom should have told you a time to be there. Please remember your game jerseys for the pictures but have your practice jerseys for practice.

Grade 3-4 pictures are Wednesday night (16th) at the beginning of practice. Your coach or team mom should have told you a time to be there. Please remember game jerseys for the pictures but have your practice jerseys with you for the practice.

FLAG and GRADE 1-2 pictures are Saturday morning before the games. Times as follows:

8:00-8:20 Coach Jackson (white team)

8:20-8:40 Coach McFadden (navy team)

8:40-9:00 Coach Cyr (red team)

9:00-9:20 Coach Jabar (blue team)

9:20-9:40 Coach Doucette (flag team)

Games will start at 10 Saturday morning 🙂

Homecoming Info: I am hoping that most of you have received some info on homecoming but just in case you haven’t, I have included the flyer. Please direct any questions around homecoming to your coach or team mom.

This past weekend was the kick off to the Grade 3-6 program!! All of our teams had a great weekend. Saturday was a busy day for the 4 teams as they traveled to Skowhegan for the Round Robin. Congrats to the 3/4 Red Team for going 5-0 at the event!! Sunday was opening day for the first games of the season. 3 out of 4 games were wins and made it a great day!! We truly have the best kiddos around in our program!! Congrats to everyone for a successful weekend. We encourage you to bring your players to watch the older groups play. It is great for them to show the team spirit but also shows them what they have to look forward too. The schedules for the games are posted on the website and we have a least 2 home games every Sunday. Happy Monday everyone!!

Hello football family! I am sad to say that due to the incoming rain and thunderstorms for tomorrow the athletic director has cancelled the clinic that was scheduled for 8/23/15. Sorry everyone! Have a great weekend.

2nd Annual High School Free football clinic for youth program

Players and parents of the MYFA: Please join some of our high school football players and coaches for our 2nd annual free football clinic. The clinic will be held on Sunday August 23rd from 9-11am at the Messalonskee High School football field. Full gear is required for all grades 3-6. Grades 1-2 are welcome to join as long as you are registered for the 2015 season, you may register on the 23rd. Grade 1-2 do not need their gear for their clinic. Any questions please let us know.

MYFA is hoping that everyone is having a great summer!! Below is the information you all have been waiting for…the start dates for the upcoming football season. Please make sure that you look for your child’s grade to see when the season will begin for them. As always any questions please let us know.

GRADE 3-6 INFORMATION

Team Evaluation/Selection Friday August 14th 5:30-7:30pm @ Pleasant Point Park (20 McGrath Pond Rd, Oakland, ME 04963) Cleats/sneakers, shorts, water. If you have not registered yet you may do so at this time.
Equipment Handout Sunday August 16th @ equipment shed (6 Oak Street Oakland) Grades 5/6 @ 8am & Grades 3/4 @ 9am All coaches and assistants must attend and help.
2nd annual MHS Football team Free Football Clinic Sunday August 23rd time TBD @ MHS full pads.
First game the weekend of the August 29th /30th (6 League games and then the last two weeks we will schedule other schools (TBD).
No games Labor day weekend.
Season ends and last game under the lights Wednesday/Thursday October 21st/22nd @ MHS times TBD
Equipment return Saturday the 10/24 @ noon time.

FLAG & GRADE 1-2 INFO

Final registration and equipment handout Tuesday September 1st5:30pm-7pm @ equipment shed (6 Oak Street Oakland) (or register prior to September 1st online @www.eagleyouthfootball.org must pay online at time of registration) All players must be present at shed for equipment September 1st.
First game September 12th and last game and equipment return October 17th. Saturday games @ Messalonskee Middle School 10am-11am. Practices TBD by Coach.
FLAG PARENTS you do not need to collect equipment. You just need to register on or before September 1st. You may register online prior or come to the equipment shed between 5:30-7 on Sept. 1st to register. Your first game/practice will be on Saturday September 12th 10am-11am.
